The most common way to find multiples is to use multiplication. Multiplication of whole numbers always results in multiples of the numbers being multiplied. To find the first few multiples of 3084, you could just multiply 3084 by 1, then 2, then 3, and so on, until you have as many multiples as you would like. This is shown in the next section.
For younger students that don’t know how to multiply yet, the same result can be found just by counting, or skip-counting. To find multiples of any number, just add the number to itself multiple times. For instance, if you want to find the multiples of 3084, start at 3084 and keep adding 3084 over and over: 3084, 6168, 9252, 12336, and so on. Each of these numbers is a multiple of 3084.
There are an endless number of multiples! You can keep using either of these methods to find as many multiples as you would like.
