Methods

Methods for Finding Multiples:

The most common way to find multiples is to use multiplication. Multiplication of whole numbers always results in multiples of the numbers being multiplied. To find the first few multiples of 138, you could just multiply 138 by 1, then 2, then 3, and so on, until you have as many multiples as you would like. This is shown in the next section.

To find multiples of any number, just add the number to itself multiple times. For instance, if you want to find the multiples of 138, start at 138 and keep adding 138 over and over: 138, 276, 414, 552, and so on. Each of these numbers is a multiple of 138.

There are an endless number of multiples! You can keep using either of these methods to find as many multiples as you would like.
