To get a decimal using the division method, simply divide the numerator 3051 by the denominator 100:

Method 2 from a math tutor – Explanation using the factors of 10 method:

And finally, you get 30.51 as your answer when you convert 30 51/100 (or 3051/100) to a decimal.
