Multiples of 29

Multiples of 29 are any number that can be divided by 29 without any remainder. In other words, any number that can be split into multiple 29s, without anything extra. Another way to understand multiples is to compare them to counting an object. For instance, I may have one ball, or I may have six balls, but I can’t have 3 and a half balls.

Methods

Methods for Finding Multiples:

The most common way to find multiples is to use multiplication. Multiplication of whole numbers always results in multiples of the numbers being multiplied. To find the first few multiples of 29, you could just multiply 29 by 1, then 2, then 3, and so on, until you have as many multiples as you would like. This is shown in the next section.

For younger students that don’t know how to multiply yet, the same result can be found just by counting, or skip-counting. To find multiples of any number, just add the number to itself multiple times. For instance, if you want to find the multiples of 29, start at 29 and keep adding 29 over and over: 29, 58, 87, 116, and so on. Each of these numbers is a multiple of 29.

There are an endless number of multiples! You can keep using either of these methods to find as many multiples as you would like.
