A prime number is a number that is divisible by only itself and 1. Since we see that 2083 has only two factors, 1 and 2083, then we can come to the conclusion that 2083 is a prime number. Another way you can look at the problem is by the factors of 2083. By no coincidence, 2083’s factors are just 1 and 2083 (only just itself and 1), which is the definition of a prime number.
